This product is a comprehensive M11 flush panel mount 3.5mm TRRS audio jack extension cable, designed to provide a robust and integrated audio interface solution. The centerpiece is a standard 3.5mm TRRS (Tip, Ring, Ring, Sleeve) jack, commonly known as a headphone, phone, or headset jack. This stereo audio connector is engineered for panel mounting, featuring a sleek M11 threaded body and supplied hex nuts for secure and professional installation into a pre-drilled chassis hole. The flush mount design ensures a clean, streamlined appearance when assembled.

A key feature of this jack is its internal switch mechanism for detecting plug insertion. The connector's configuration includes the standard audio channels—Mic, Left audio, Right audio, and GND—along with two additional detection pins: CD1 and CD2. These pins are integral to the jack's switching function, allowing a host device to detect when a plug is inserted or removed, enabling automated actions such as switching audio outputs or waking from a sleep state.

The assembly is completed with a high-quality PVC cable, conforming to the UL2464 standard with a 26AWG gauge. The cable length is highly customizable, available from a compact 100mm (approx. 4 inches) up to a lengthy 1000mm (approx. 39 inches), offering flexibility for various internal layouts. It contains six individual wires to support the full TRRS and detection functions. While the standard cable is unshielded, a shielded option is available upon request to provide enhanced protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) in sensitive audio applications.

For easy integration, the wires are terminated with a JST PH 2.0mm 6-pin connector (using the PHR-6 housing) by default, providing a compact and reliable disconnect solution. However, we offer connector flexibility and can accommodate requests for other JST series (such as the XH connector) or Molex connectors to match your specific board layout. The default wire-to-pin sequence is clearly defined as: Pin 1 to Mic, Pin 2 to GND, Pin 3 to Right audio, Pin 4 to Left audio, Pin 5 to CD1, and Pin 6 to CD2, ensuring straightforward and error-free installation for your audio and detection circuits.
