This is a low-profile, overmolded cable mount USB Type-C female connector socket, designed for secure and permanent installation in panels and enclosures. The compact design minimizes protrusion for a sleek, integrated appearance, while the robust screw-lock panel mount ensures exceptional mechanical stability and resistance to vibration and frequent use.
The assembly offers significant customization. It is available with your choice of 22AWG, 24AWG, or 26AWG wire, with cable lengths from a short 50mm up to 1500mm. Two standard USB configurations are provided: a basic 2-wire setup (Vbus, GND) for dedicated power delivery and a 4-wire setup (Vbus, GND, D+, D-) for standard USB 2.0 data and power transfer.
Beyond the standard options, specialized circuitry can be integrated to meet specific charging protocols. You can opt for the inclusion of two 5.1kΩ pull-down resistors on the CC lines to enable full USB Power Delivery (PD) functionality. Alternatively, the assembly can be built with two 56kΩ pull-up resistors to ensure optimized 5V/1A charging compatibility with Apple iPhone 15/16/17 models.
For complete integration, the opposite end of the cable can be customized to your needs. Standard terminations include stripped and tinned wire leads or industry-standard crimp connectors (e.g., Dupont, JST). We can also attach a finished USB Type-C male plug, creating a complete, ready-to-use cable assembly.
