This overmolded cable mount USB Type-C female connector socket is engineered for quick and secure installation in panels and enclosures. Featuring a convenient snap-in panel mount design, it allows for tool-free, one-step installation by simply pressing it into a pre-cut mounting hole. The durable overmolded strain relief provides excellent cable integrity and protection against pull-out forces, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding applications.

The assembly offers extensive customization to meet diverse project needs. You can select from three standard wire gauges—22AWG, 24AWG, or 26AWG—with cable lengths ranging from a compact 50mm up to 1500mm. Four USB pinout configurations are available: a basic 2-wire option (Vbus, GND) for power delivery, a standard 4-wire setup (Vbus, GND, D+, D-) for USB 2.0 data transfer, and two advanced 6-wire options. Configuration 3 includes CC1 and CC2 pins for USB Power Delivery communication, while Configuration 4 incorporates SUB1 and SUB2 pins for Alternate Mode functionalities such as audio or video output.

For specialized charging requirements, we offer integrated circuit customization. This includes adding two 5.1kΩ pull-down resistors to enable full USB Power Delivery (PD) negotiation or installing two 56kΩ pull-up resistors to ensure optimized 5V/1A charging compatibility with Apple iPhone 15/16/17 models. Furthermore, the opposite end of the cable can be customized with your choice of termination, including bare tinned leads, industry-standard crimp connectors (e.g., Dupont or JST), or a fully assembled USB Type-C male plug to create a complete cable assembly.
